Educational Signage
Educational signage located on the beach and created for the Palms at Pelican Cove pre-Hurricane Maria. Large Scale 8-foot x 3-foot informational sign printed on 3M UV-protected material and built into a custom frame.
The owner of the Palms came to me wanting to have a dual purpose large sign for the beach at his hotel that would both alert swimmers to the dangers of the rip current while also teaching beachgoers and snorkelers about the many animals that call the beach and waters home. This 8x3 sign was one of the focal points for the beach entrance along with the Blue Flag sign that I also designed to complement the info sign. The Palms at Pelican Cove achieved Blue Flag status in 2010. The Blue Flag signs needed to comply with the international organization's specifications, be in line with the Palms branding, and offer educational information in a fun and engaging visual manner.
